Kitchenware Startup Cumin Co Secures $1.5Million for Expansion

- Raised $1.5M led by Fireside Ventures, joined by Huddle Ventures
- Plans 80+ product launches and festive-season upgrades this year
- Targeting 100,000 households in 12 months, up from 7,000 currently
Cumin Co, a new-age kitchenware startup, has raised $1.5 million in a funding round led, Fireside Ventures, with participation from Huddle Ventures. The fresh capital will be channelled into R&D, product innovation, scaling manufacturing, and strengthening its D2C presence.
Founded earlier this year by ISB-Hyderabad alumni Niharika Joshi and Udit Lekhi, Cumin Co identified a gap in the market for healthier, toxin-free, baby-food-safe cookware for Indian households.

Shuchi Pandya, Principal at Fireside Ventures said, Kitchenware sits at the centre of every home, yet it has seen minimal innovation in decades. Cumin Co is set to modernise this category by blending design, trust, and global scalability
The company holds patents for its enamel-cast technology and Enviromax four-layer enamel coating, which make its cookware rust- and stain-resistant, safe under high heat, and free from metal or chemical leaching.
Looking ahead, the startup plans to roll out over 80 new products by year-end, introduce two new festive-season colours, and upgrade key items from its flagship collection. Having already reached 7,000 households in India, Cumin Co aims to scale to 100,000 homes within the next 12 months.
“Our vision is to reimagine kitchenware by combining rigorous R&D with design and safety,” the co-founders shared in a joint statement, adding that the investment will accelerate their innovation pipeline.
