Construction-tech company Knest, based in Pune, has raised Rs 300 crore in funding from Lighthouse Funds, a big endorsement of its ambition to revolutionize India's building industry. Knest will utilize the funds to scale up its R&D, increase its manufacturing base, and deepen its backward integration for increased scalability and quality control.
Established in 2015, Knest is a leader in next-generation construction solutions, such as aluminium formwork systems and patented hydraulic safety screens that speed up project execution timelines, improve worker safety, and reduce environmental footprints. With its head office in Pune, the organization operates three state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Maharashtra and Gujarat with an aggregate annual capacity of over 2 million square metres of aluminium formwork.
"This collaboration with Lighthouse is a matter of vision, not funding," commented Nitin Mittal, Knest Founder. "We're creating more than just formwork; we're architecting the future of Indian construction from towering high-rises to sustainable skylines. With this partnership, we want to rethink the construction possible."
Sachin Bhartiya, Partner and Co-founder at Lighthouse Funds, was optimistic about Knest's purpose. "Knest is the type of innovative, purpose-driven business that we enjoy backing. Their solutions are transforming the way India constructs faster, safer, and greener."
