Beauty technology startup Kult has raised $20 million in a Series A funding led by Payal Kanodia and Aishwarya Bansal of the M3M Family Office, along with further support from Venture Catalysts.

Kult, which was founded by Ruchika Pallavi and Karishma Singh, uses data-driven technology and AI to provide individualized skincare solutions. One of the platform's most unique features is its visual product database of how products look on various Indian skin tones, making discovery easier and building customer confidence.
Addressing a press conference, Singh announced the company has set its sights on a gross merchandise value (GMV) of Rs 650–700 crore in this fiscal year and today has margins above 35%.
"Kult's customer-first, data-driven philosophy is the future of online beauty where hyper-personalisation and smart technology come together to provide bespoke, instant solutions. Strong repeat user metrics and early traction indicate that the market is primed for such a specialist, niche play," Kanodia said in a statement.

With the new capital, Kult hopes to broaden its product lines, onboarding 700 high-end global beauty brands and growing operations to support more than 10,000 daily orders by the end of 2025. The firm also intends a substantial increase in its workforce, hiring more than 200 professionals in sourcing, engineering, product development, and user experience roles.
