LehLah, which is a content commerce business, has raised Rs 12.5 crore in seed funding led by Gruhas, the venture capital firm Co-Founded by Zerodha's Nikhil Kamath and Abhijeet Pai. The firm said the money will be utilised for product development, brand growth, and team expansion.

LehLah is a creator-led platform enabling influencers to monetize content by making product recommendations that are carefully curated. It has tied up with large e-commerce websites including Myntra, Meesho, Flipkart, and Nykaa, as well as direct-to-consumer brands like Libas and Foxtale.

By getting creators to work with top brands, the platform provides consumers with a 'seamless shopping experience' while enabling partner brands to generate measurable sales and conversions, the company stated.

"Shopping today is not about products, it's about trust, influence, and community. People don't want to be sold to, they want to be recommended by those they can relate to", Kamath stated.

"Maybe the future of commerce lies with platforms that enable people to monetize their influence and make discovery and buying seamless. Only time will really say", he further added.
Founded by Ashna Ruia, member of the Ruia family, LehLah has seen accelerated adoption, with a 46 per cent month-on-month gross merchandise value (GMV) growth and more than 700,000 content items created via its creator network.

"This support allows us to scale our mission of empowering creators to create sustainable businesses around their passions", Ruia said.

The investment follows increasing investor enthusiasm for content-driven commerce, in which digital influencers take a central position selling products through social media and affiliate marketing.
