Gurugram-based haircare startup Moxie Beauty has raised $15 million in a Series A round led by Bessemer Venture Partners. Existing investor Fireside Ventures and angel backers including Navin Parwal, Sangeet Agarwal, and Arjun Purkayastha also participated. The company did not disclose its valuation.

Founded in 2023 by Nikita Khanna and Anmol Ahlawat, Moxie Beauty specializes in haircare products tailored for Indian hair types and climate conditions. Its current portfolio includes 19 products ranging from shampoos and conditioners to styling and scalp care formats, sold across platforms like Nykaa and Amazon.

The startup has reported strong growth, crossing Rs 100 crore in annual recurring revenue within just two years. Monthly revenue has quadrupled over the past year, and several products are top sellers in their respective categories, with a customer retention rate exceeding 40 percent.

The Series A proceeds will be used to scale product development and research, hire across key functions, and expand distribution channels. Moxie Beauty is working on new formulations and product formats, with a focus on styling and scalp health categories.

Bessemer Venture Partners, which led the round, recently closed $350 million for its second India-dedicated fund. The firm has invested in other Indian startups including Graph AI, Seekho, and TransBnk.

Moxie Beauty’s focus on in-house formulations and selective global sourcing positions it to continue innovating in the fast-growing Indian haircare market.
