Naxatra Labs Raises $3 Million to Scale High-Efficiency Electric Motors

Naxatra Labs, a deeptech startup specializing in high-efficiency electric motors, has raised $3 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by Rainmatter, with participation from angel investors including Mohit Tandon, Himanshu Aggarwal, Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Aloke Bajpai, Anupam Jalote, and Narayan.
Founded in Ahmedabad and operating in Bengaluru, Naxatra Labs designs and manufactures end-to-end electric motors for electric vehicles and industrial applications. The company oversees the complete process from electromagnetic design and validation to commercial production. Over the past four years, Naxatra has developed a strong R&D stack, successfully moving several products from lab-stage development to market-ready solutions.
The latest funding will be used to expand product lines, strengthen research and development, scale manufacturing capacity, and grow the engineering and operations teams. Naxatra aims to increase production capacity to 50,000 motors per month to meet rising demand from domestic and international customers.
