The popular Silicon Valley investors Iron Pillar and Uncorrelated Ventures, along with current investors Nexus Venture Partners, Chiratae Ventures, and Next47, led a $30 million Series B fundraising round for the supply chain software platform Pando.

David Dorman, Chairman of CVS Health and Director on the Boards of Dell and Paypal; Tom Noonan, Director on the Boards of the New York Stock Exchange and SalesLoft; Scott Kirk of Bain Capital; Paul Brown of Dunkin', Baskin-Robbins, and Neiman Marcus; Nick Mehta of Gainsight; and Amar Goel of Pubmatic were among the notable American CEOs and angel investors who participated in the round.

The funds would be used by Chennai-based Pando to fuel its expansion into new markets and business sectors. With the most recent fundraising, the business has now raised a total of $45 million. According to Mohanjit Jolly, Partner at Iron Pillar, "the logistics technology market is ripe for disruption. There is high demand caused by volatility, legacy competition that is trying to catch up, and a trend towards bundling point solutions."

"Pando takes a global approach to the development of IP-led products and handles the issue with its talent in India and the US. We were pleased to join with them because of their commitment to creating a significant, long-term business. We are keen to take advantage of its extensive worldwide network of clients, partners, strategic capital, and other resources in order to hasten its progress, he continued.

Pando, which was founded in 2018 by Nitin Jayakrishnan and Abhijeet Manohar, aims to link different supply chain participants, including producers, warehouses, distributors, retailers, retail outlets, customers, factories, and their suppliers.

Nitin Jayakrishnan, CEO of Pando, "Our platform enables these brands to automate manual processes, modernise legacy systems, and plug the gaps between tools without multi-year transformations, delivering change here and now."

To simplify the end-to-end order-to-fulfillment process for manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers, Pando just introduced Fulfilment Cloud, a "single pane of glass." At present, it serves more than 50 significant clients globally, including Godrej, Honda, Johnson & Johnson, Accuride, Nivea, Philips, Nestle, Procter & Gamble, and ITC.

John Zimmerman, CRO North America and Europe, "many large companies in North America and Europe are consolidating their supply chain technology from siloed point solutions to unified platforms and insourcing their logistics from 3PLs."

In the US market, where supply chain leaders are clamouring for change, "Pando's solution is timely; its end-to-end capabilities and quantifiable value-driven success stories with marquee global brands are driving significant traction," he continued.
