Podcast Startup Kuku Pockets Fund to Spread the Wings and Stream More

As a matter of fact, even micro chips are losing existence with online music and podcast streaming gaining traction in India, allowing the metro beings to listen what they love on the go. Tapping into this burgeoning phenomenon of audio casting, the Mumbai-based podcast major Kuku FM is taking over music streaming giant with regional podcasts and varied audio content.

The firm announced that it has raised an undisclosed amount from the 3one4 Capital, Shunwei Capital and India Quotient.
Founded by Lal Chand Bisu, Vinod Meena & Vikas Goyal, the platform is striving to reinvent the traditional radio system and enhancing the experience by allowing the users to discover trending and diverse audio libraries available. It claims that it has added over 2100 podcasts from more than 1000 creators in the short span of its operation.

The company will expand the engineering team to build acceptable and potential solutions for amazing listening experience. With 4.8 stars rating on Google Play Store, Kuku FM is recognized as one of the largest audio platform and it has witnessed downloads up to one million. The average listening time of each user is estimated to be 50min a day, which is twice more when compared to other music apps in India.

At present, Kuku FM is casting content is in Hindi and has primary users Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. However, the platform has been able to create a user base in Maharashtra as well.
