In a pre-seed funding round headed by WEH Ventures and including US-based 2 AM Ventures and Pareto Holdings, the proptech firm Flent in India has raised Rs 6.5 crore.

Angel investors Sanchan S. Saxena (former general manager of Airbnb), Aneesh Reddy (founder of Capillary Technologies), Arjun Vaidya (founder of Dr. Vaidya's), Shradha Sharma (founder of YourStory), and Abhilash N. (co-founder of Ivy Homes) also participated in the round.

Creating a platform for full stack rentals

With the money it has raised, Flent hopes to grow its core staff and create India's first full-stack rental platform, which it hopes will enable 10X faster and easier renting for the country's modern working professionals.

Flent, which was started by Shail Daswani, Mayank Lalwani, and Rishabh Agnihotri, bills itself as the first on-demand rental platform in India and provides a distinctive experience for both proprietors and renters.

Tenants register, provide their choices, and pay a booking fee that is refundable. Flent gives customers a fully furnished, designer home in 15 days, with no brokerage fees, low deposit requirements, and flexible terms. The tenant may move in right away if they like the property. They get a complete refund if not.

Flent makes it easy for homeowners to turn their houses into turnkey rentals by handling every step of the process, from purchasing the property to furnishing it.

Speaking to this, Shail Daswani, Co-Founder and CEO, Flent, "People compromise on so many things when it comes to renting—settling for outdated & unfurnished homes, hefty deposits, subpar brokers, and one-sided terms. We believe that in today’s world, compromise isn’t an option, especially for the new generation. At Flent, we’re making renting as simple as booking an Uber”.
