Healthy bread maker brand The Health Factory has secured $3.5 million in a Seed funding round, which was led by Peak XV’s Surge. This recently secured fund lays very important role for the brand and encourage it to redefine bread consumption with a focus on quality, authenticity, and consumer well-being.

The company is founded by Vinay Maheshwari, Mohit Sankhala, with them bakery expert and mentor Jos Vast, helped to build up the company. They have introduced ‘Zero maida bread’ which is one of the hot selling product and they claim that, all of their products are free from chemicals and preservatives, and the brand is India’s first protein bread and vegan protein bread.

All of their products are now available in major cities including Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Delhi, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Hyderabad, and Chennai, through leading quick commerce platforms such as Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, and BlinkIt.

The startup brand has recently stepped into Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Chennai, and Hyderabad and expanded their business widely in these areas. They are aiming to penetrate their operation into tier 2 cities to address their growing demand. The startup reports significant growth over the past 24 months, with sales increasing 65 times.

The company will utilize these newly extracted proceeds to accelerate its efforts in product development and R&D, driving the creation of new product segments. Apart from that, the company is planning to expand its retail presence in both general and modern trade channels.

The investment will also improve logistics and operational technologies, ensuring streamlined processes to support the company’s rapid growth, according to a release from the startup.
