Pype AI, a startup creating AI-powered front desk solutions for hospitals and clinics, has raised $1.2 million in a pre-seed round led by Kalaari Capital, with participation from Wyser Capital and Tenity. The funds will help the company improve its healthcare communication platform and accelerate its expansion into the United States.
Founded in 2024 by Dhruv Mehra and Ashish Tripathy, Pype AI builds voice-based AI agents that handle tasks like appointment scheduling, patient follow-ups, treatment preparation, and 24/7 support. The AI is trained on medical conversation datasets, enabling it to deliver accurate and empathetic interactions with patients.
Pype AI also developed Whispey, an open-source observability platform with over 40 evaluations to ensure compliance and smooth performance. By integrating with hospital electronic medical records, the platform reduces missed appointments, lowers operational costs, and improves patient retention.
