Bengaluru based lab grown diamond jewellery brand Reia Diamonds has raised Rs 2 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by Dinesh Talera and family, the founders of Mysore Saree Udyog, with participation from early stage investor Venture Catalysts.

Founded in 2023 by Prapanjj S K Kota, Jacob Mathew, and Ashwanth Ramesh, Reia Diamonds offers certified lab-grown diamonds that are chemically and optically identical to mined stones. The brand focuses on minimal, modern jewellery tailored for the contemporary Indian woman, blending traditional craftsmanship with sustainability and innovation.

The fresh capital will be used to expand Reia’s core collections, particularly engagement rings and everyday designer pieces, while also strengthening its retail and omnichannel footprint. Additionally, the brand plans to accelerate product innovation to meet evolving customer preferences in the premium yet affordable jewellery segment.

Since its launch, Reia has opened three profitable stores in Bengaluru, Guwahati, and Coimbatore, operating through a franchise model that supports fast and asset-light expansion. The company sees major potential in India’s lab-grown diamond market, which is estimated at $300-350 million in 2024 and is projected to grow at a 15% CAGR over the next decade, driven by increasing demand for ethical and affordable alternatives to traditional diamonds.

Prapanjj S K Kota, Founder and CEO of Reia Diamond, said, the funding will help the company scale operations, expand its reach across India, and continue offering elegant, meaningful, and ethically crafted jewellery. He added that the brand’s mission is to make diamond ownership aspirational yet accessible for every woman.
