Resilience AI raises $1 million from Kalaari Capital in Seed Funding round
Kalaari Capital's CXXO initiative, which funds ventures led by women entrepreneurs, led the $1 million seed funding round for Resilience AI, a climate risk and sustainability technology company. Java Capital also participated in the round.
The money raised will go toward developing Resilience360, which provides both public and private businesses with comprehensive solutions for managing climate risk. The startup also wants to promote research-based innovation, increase market access, and collaborate with its clients to co-develop solutions.
Resilience360 was founded by Samhita R. to help organizations prepare for extreme climate events like heatwaves, floods, cyclones, landslides, and earthquakes.
Resilience360 addresses the need for a proactive approach to climate resilience.
The platform offers automated diagnostics for climate risk, institutionalized plans for climate action that incorporate sustainability and climate risk standards, and hyperlocal risk maps by fusing machine learning and deep climate analytics.
Resilience360, the platform's flagship product, provides hyperlocal baseline and mapping of climate risk; Plan facilitates the creation of customized risk controls; Action is concentrated on the execution and reporting of climate measures; and Scale promotes continuous monitoring and the growth of adaptation tactics.
Resilience AI helps businesses and governments prepare for and mitigate extreme climate events like heatwaves, floods, cyclones, and earthquakes by integrating advanced machine learning (ML), hyperlocal climate diagnostics, institutionalized climate reporting, and digitalized climate action plans.
The speaker, Samhita R, stated, "Our vision is resilience at every step, and today we have started with climate risks and will be expanding to health resilience. The frequency and magnitude of extreme climate events have quadrupled over the past four decades, and conventional disaster response mechanisms are no longer sufficient."
