Baanhem Ventures, the organization behind Startup Thamizha, has successfully raised Rs 3.3 crore from tech entrepreneur Kumar Vembu through his investment firm Mudhal Partners.

Launched earlier this year by Hemachandran L. and Balachandar R, Baanhem Ventures focuses on empowering first-generation entrepreneurs in Tamil Nadu by helping them grow into future innovators and job creators.

Their flagship initiative, Startup Thamizha, has already secured over Rs. 200 crore in funding for startups across three seasons, supported by numerous industry leaders.

The show will highlight first-generation entrepreneurs from Tamil Nadu at various stages of their startup journey, with the goal of encouraging high-net-worth individuals (HNIs) to invest in these new ventures.

The show, showcasing seed and growth-stage entrepreneurs from Tamil Nadu, aims to motivate high-net-worth individuals (HNIs) to invest in local startups and inspire aspiring entrepreneurs to contribute to the state’s social and economic development.

The program will air on a popular entertainment channel and focus on promising entrepreneurs and startups. It will offer financial support and guidance to help strengthen Tamil Nadu’s tradition of entrepreneurship.
