Lifestyle company Uni Seoul raised Rs5 crore (approximately $585,000) in a seed funding round headed by Sauce VC, along with participation from Panthera Peak Ventures and private investors Arun Venkatachalam, Sangeet Agrawal, Navin Parwal, and Yogesh Kabra.

The funds will be utilized to drive Uni Seoul's offline expansion in tier I cities including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai. The brand also intends to introduce new private labels, strengthen its direct-to-consumer (D2C) platform, intensify marketing initiatives, and streamline its supply chain.

Uni Seoul was established by Gaurav Karmani and Mohit Khurana and deals in a wide variety of products across home and living, personal care, gifting, and fashion accessories. The company has four successful stores in Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Nashik and boasts more than 700 stock-keeping units (SKUs). About 40% of its inventory is manufactured in India via contract manufacturing, and the rest is outsourced from more than 200 suppliers in South Korea, India, China, and Vietnam.

Uni Seoul has two offline branches in Pune and Nashik and opened its online store in October 2023, which itself has already added 27% of its revenue without any direct marketing activities. The brand features a high customer rating of 4.8 across its distribution channels, signaling high customer loyalty as one of the drivers for growth.

With its new investment and expansion strategy, Uni Seoul intends to consolidate its position in the fast-growing Indian lifestyle and consumer goods market and reach young aspirational consumers in search of authentic, quality-led products.
