In a media interview, the Co-Founder & COO of MathCo, Aditya Kumbakonam said, “his journey of becoming an entrepreneur started in IIT Madras, where he met his business partner Anuj Krishna. He told that, during graduation days, both of them were curious about learning new things but starting a business was out of their radar. The studies of IIT aided in learning critically and embrace the spirit of innovation and resilience. After the graduation they both joined the same company co-incidentally and that job was the bedrock of their startup. From there they got the idea of creating custom, data-driven solutions that empower businesses to succeed in their unique environments. Then MathCo was born which is helping numerous institutions to realize the tangible benefits of AI.”

According to B2B FMGC platform ApnaKlub’s Founder Shruti, completed her graduation from IIT Delhi and competed MBA from Harvard Business School tells that, a strong alumni network indeed is one of the biggest pluses of having an IIT badge. With the support of IIT network she got connected with angel investors and got funding and guidance from them. “I am immensely grateful to be part of this network, and I am excited to pay it forward”, adds Shruti. Founder Deepinder Goyal & Co-Founder Pankaj Chaddah was alumni of IIT Delhi. Deepinder started his career in management consulting firm, Bain & Company, where he evolved the idea of this startup. Then in 2008 both of them started this in the name of Foodiebay, after one year they changed the name to Zomato and expanded their footprints in the global markets like South Africa, UAE, Canada, and New Zealand.
