Our Fresh hummus has been the backbone of the company since its inception however now we are seeing great sales from Cheesy Salsa and Hot Cheese dips as well even our Bechef Hot wings sauce and Jerk Marinade are doing amazing,” mentions Dr Deep Lodhari, Founder, All That Dips.
The duads at the helm are the founders Dr.Deep Lodhari and Dhaval Patel who together developed the right products and adopted a different approach to tap into the dips and sauces market that already sees stiff competition. “We both were colleagues working at a pharmaceutical company. We quit the company as we wanted to try something on our own. We thought of starting an IT company while working on an IT project, we participated in a flea market in Vadodara selling artisanal dips and to our surprise we sold more than 100 units of dips on day one!! This inspired us to take things ahead and a three year old player in the segment, All That Dips has garnered a noticeable market share.
Experimenting With Flavours
Benjamin Franklin once quoted “Out of adversity comes opportunity”. Like many entrepreneurs, Deep and Dhaval learnt a lot of things the hard way. It was quite a task in the initial years to create awareness about the products. “Our products were comparatively new to the Indian market and to convince people about them was a challenge. However, with time and listening to customer feedback closely we were able to add newer flavours to our kitty and thus added many loyal customers” says Dr Deep. Other than this, the other challenge was that of logistics and nuances related to niche segment products. However, with innovation in packaging and manufacturing processes, the company has been able to make the products more stable and ex-tend the shelf life. “Innovation and product quality have been the guiding principles of our company in its inception and help us survive in an extremely competitive environment. Since our beginnings, we have made sure that the quality of our products is never compromised. As we deal with fresh produce the prices of the raw materials fluctuate however as company standards are predefined, we would always go for the best ingredients. We sometimes play good cop bad cop when it comes to handling situations but at the end of the day we respect each other’s opinion and work together to achieve the goal. There are no job roles defined however, we know each other’s strengths and weaknesses and that help us grow seamlessly,” he further adds.

The Success Saga
All That Dips started with a humble beginning as a bootstrapped venture deep driving the growth. From selling dips at a flea market to sell across all major retailers in India, the company has come a long way. Within three years, it has stretched its presence in almost all major stores in Ahmedabad Vadodara, Surat, Rajkot, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Goa. The company has been selected as one of the top startups at Vibrant Gujarat Startup summit 2018 and has received an award of Rs 12 Lakhs for the same. “We were incubated at PDPU IIC and received a govt grant for Rs 10 Lakhs for product development form Govt. of Gujarat. We have recently been funded by GVFL ltd which has helped us to take our company ahead with increased momentum,” highlights Deep.
Dhaval and Deep plans to make All That Dips products available across all major cities in India within the next 12 months. “We also plan to grow the portfolio of our products. We would love to explore the possibilities of pairing our dips with healthy chips and making complete snacks. We would like to keep growing, innovating and become one of the most respected food brands in India,”they conclude.
