With an objective to transform people’s perception of gifts and revolutionize the gifting culture, Bigsmall Gifts Pvt. Ltd. was founded by Yatin Hans and Aman Hans. Both Yatin and Aman had past experience in e-commerce companies, and through that, the duo had built up an inner passion - a passion to create something. At the time when Bigsmall was incorporated, the e-commerce industry was booming and it was quite easy for new players to be a part of it. “We noticed a gap in the gifting industry as there was a glaring lack of personalized, more creative gifts. This made us venture into the online gifting space. Without knowing much else, we started Bigsmall, a platform to sell gifts. Our idea was to have small creative products, with big emotional value,” speaks Aman.

When Bigsmall rolled out its operations, there were not many creative gits launched in the market and there was a lack of innovation in developing creative
products. With curation of the best unique gifts from around the world, the team helped make the company run as a one-stop shop for all creative gifting needs- easing out the purchasing behaviour for the customers.

Today, with a 15 member team comprising of Ops head, marketing team, content writers, Accounts team, interns and packaging boys, Bigsmall Gifts hosts 350+ unique and unusual gifts on the website. The products featured on Bigsmall not only stand for creativity in design but also the highest of quality. A lot of times, as a brand, we have to make a choice - creativity often accompanies sub-par quality. Before getting a product on board, the team ensures stringent quality checks “We offer the most convenient curation of a huge variety of unique gifts - ranging from by occasions, to for different personality types, to by relationship by the recipient, to by category - which makes the purchasing process for the consumer as simplified as it can be,” he says.

For the unique services offered,the Bigsmall team give customers an option to ask for real-time pictures of any product they are interested in- on WhatsApp. This ensures that the customers have clarity of mind with
what they're purchasing, and they get what they see. “We believe it’s not just about the gift item, but also about the overall experience that has to be unique. For this, it has a tie-up with several of the best shipping companies in India to make sure the goods are always delivered on time. “We also have an expert packaging team - extremely thorough and use the best materials,” he adds.

A Story of Continual Growth& Progress
Bigsmall Gifts has recorded an exponential growth of 300 percent from the first and second year and 350 percent from the second to third year. The client base has also increased exponentially - from 1000-1500 orders a month previously the team now receives 6000-8000 orders a month. “From a room in our home, we now have a 3,000 square feet office in a great location. Our inventory has grown from just 30 items - to 500 items now. We now also have a vast reach on social media - with over 170,000 likes on Facebook,” asserts Aman. Going further, team Bigsmall wishes to strengthen its platform to showcase their creativity and to promote their products and reach out to the right audience.
