When Saurav got admission in B.Tech Computer Science at UPES Dehradun, the first major problem he came across was finding an ideal accommodation with good food and basic necessities. After a lot of research and brainstorming sessions, he realised that this is a grossly faced problem for millions of students across the nation and even worldwide. These brainstorming session then led to the ideation of Homversity After presenting the idea on several government and private competitions, I got several market feedback which helped in tweaking and upgrading the concept along the way. The turning point came at Rise Conference, Hong Kong Asia's largest technology conference where my idea of this venture got a boost and it raised its initial rounds of investments. Homversity understood that the student housing market lacked transparency and was a very unorganised sector with the market crawling with agents and brokers charging sky high amounts. To do away with this exigency, the company decided to give a more structured shape to the segment by connecting the property owners to students in the right way that would save money and time for both parties. Thus, Homversity was able to break the paradigm and changed the mindset of people where it managed to comprehend the basic need of the market and kept a strong engagement with its students by providing them a complete end-to-end support from booking to moving in.

Established in 2018 with only a couple of properties in its network, the company has come a long way ahead and is currently serving in more than 12 cities.
