Neil Savant,,FounderRapid strides in technology have brought smart homes to the middle class, largely due to innovations that allowed for the development of smaller and cost-effective sensors and actuators that gather information from devices in real time. However, some of the key problem areas in India are issues with wired systems and domination of foreign players. To highlight a few pain points- wired systems cause difficulty to retro-fit, lack of inter-operability between different products, lack of remote management, need of an expert for configuration, lack of flexibility for adding new products and high installation time. Led by the founder Neil Savant, with a core team of 10 members hailing from Power Electronics, Embedded Systems, Advanced R&D, Android/IOS and Web development backgrounds, Falcon Control Systems & Automation Pvt. Ltd. (FCSA), headquartered in Mumbai,
Maharashtra, is setting benchmarks in overcoming the aforementioned issues. FCSA is an emerging start-up making efforts to change the way the worlds look towards India in terms of an in-house intelligent control system producing nation. FCSA’s focus revolves around building products in home, industrial and agro automation areas.

The ease of installation gives competitive advantage as installation requires 10 minutes and the entire system is up and running in 20 minutes

Intuit Things

Falcon’s products are specially designed for Spaces (Home/ Office/ Commercial) Automation at affordable costs and perfect for retrofitting the existing homes opening a huge market. Existing automation solutions in the market need either civil work or rewiring and in some cases both which makes installation a cumbersome, messy and an expensive affair. Falcon’spatent pending technology - IntuitThings, eliminates need of rewiring and civil work as the existing switches simply need to be replaced by the IntuitSwitches in the existing switchboards with the same line-neutral-earthing-load
wiring. This makes the system truly DIY and cost-effective allowing any level of electrician to install the system. The ease of installation gives competitive advantage as installation requires 10 minutes and the entire system is up and running in 20 minutes.“The key feature is that the system is appropriate for automating existing homes, which is a huge market and is out of reach of competition due to their box type designs”, adds Neil.

Falcon has been accepted by NASSCOM 10k program for incubation and acceleration in July 2016. It has also won the Mumbai rounds for NASSCOM roadshow 2016 and has been selected for product showcase as well as VC pitches in Bangalore during NASSCOM Product Conclave 26-27th Oct. Adding to the list of accolades, Falcon stood victorious in the Mumbai rounds for the Cross Border Angels and are finalist for the pitches in Bangalore scheduled to be held in November 2016.

FCSA plans to make 4000+ installations by 2017-18and has a product pipeline that would cover all the aspects on home and office automation by mid 2017. With such plans ahead Falcon intends on having products in not just all the realms of automation but a strong platform that will be intelligent as well as intuitive in solving grave energy and environmental problems by helping reduce the carbon footprint.
