The Nutrition Industry in India has always been flourishing and the onset of this was due to the foreign brands that ruled the
industry. This was primarily due to the lack of encouragement in the domestic market. The consumer mindset too, has a major role in this, as the “flowery sales approach” that comes with imported tags attracts the Indian consumers more and gains their trust in the imported brands.

The recent Make in India initiative has particularly emphasized manufacturing products within the country, and this has been a source of encouragement for more Indian brands to emerge and capture the market share.

Almost 85 percent of the supplement market business was harnessed by imported brands but in the last 2 years, the domestic brands bucked up and strategized to compete and capitalize on their growth in the Indian market. Now the imported market share stands at 73 percent and still, there is a long road to go for the Indian brands.

Muscle Punch has expanded its presence in 5 states in India – Punjab, Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. The company makes almost 99 percent of its sales through the offline distribution channel but does not plan to limit it to that.

Since most businesses have expanded their horizons through digitalization, Muscle Punch too wants to register its presence online to gain more traction among customers. The current annual sales are marked at the new growth phase of the company would be to increase its sales and expand geographically, targeting Growing With Good Phase in the next financial year.
