Having worked for 27 years in the corporate world out of which last eight years being in Gujarat working with best engineering conglomerate, the story of Mr.D.R.Nayak is of perform or perish. Born and brought up in Goa, Dilip eventually decided to call it a day from the corporate world into the shoes of a businessman,instantly. This took place while he was travelling from Ahmedabad to Goa. He thought to himself - the number of hours put in a day with responsibility and commitment towards the work with stringent timelines in the corporate world are if decided my own self for own self, will I get returns at par with the remunerations drawn from the salary of any multinational? The answer was affirmative and this was the turning point. Dilip embarked on the journey of entrepreneurship and since then there was no looking back.

He founded Rainbow Group,the first-generation business in 2013. The operations began as Rainbow Enterprises as a franchise of Green Dust dealing in refurbished multi-branded variety home appliances. In a span of fewer than three years, it successfully created a list of more than a thousand

satisfied customers. Eventually, it ventured into solar power generation under the banner Rainbow Solar Power Solutions& Automation as a complete one-stop solar power solution provider in Goa. “Through this venture,we are trying to promote a green power revolution and at the same time conserving natural resources wherein one can generate electricity through the infinite and free resource. We also offer comprehensive automation solutions to home, offices, schools, industries, hospitals and other commercial establishments with the help of which one can make optimum utilization of electricity with least wastage,” speaks Dilip.

The company offers concept-to-completion services for Grid-connected, off-grid with batteries Hybrid system and solar pump systems using solar PV technology. Additionally,it offers the best and the most economically viable comprehensive solutions for Automation needs to help save on electricity usage.“We bring in an extensive field experience in the terms of understanding the best-suited technology for Indian conditions that includes the most efficient made in INDIA modules, BOS(balance of system) products, design, installation and project management using industry’s best practice. Rainbow Solar Power Solutions & Automation has a strategic alliance with several OEM companies and component supplier for solar PV systems & for Automation. It also has tie-ups with Indian’s leading brand BUILDTRACK for the State of Goa. The company’s target audience includes Hotels, Hospitals, Industries and domestic customers as well.“We offer hassle-free service including liasoning with the concerned departments which helps us to get more customers,” he asserts.

Pointing to a Bright Future
Out of the four entities, Rainbow Enterprises and Rainbow Solar Power Solutions & Automation are operational and have been yielding substantial profits whereas Rainbow Engineering services & Rainbow Entertainment are at the embryo stage. In terms of revenue, the company has grown by 25 per cent in the last three financial years and by almost 50 per cent in the current financial year. “The workforce here is limited below 10 since major jobs are outsourced. Currently, we offer solutions within the boundaries of Goa but have certain plans to operate pan India shortly,” Dilip concludes.
