Ajith kumar Pillai, DirectorThe idea of Foodazon, an online food delivery and takeaway platform, housing a wide variety of cuisines from the most premium restaurants in Kerala was born during a casual dinner party.

It all started when the co-founders were trying to order food, but then the minimum order for home delivery for most restaurants they were trying out was pretty huge. As the restaurants a real ways under staffed, the promised delivery time was close to an hour and a half - and the food was delivered 2 hours later by the restaurant staff that day. Foodazon, was then conceived to assist customers in ordering food at the lowest prices from their neighbour hood restaurants and to get the food delivered in under 50 minutes once the order is placed.

Unlike other food ordering service providers like Zomato and Food Panda, Foodazon has its own delivery fleet called the Foodazon Runners. “With our dedicated Foodazon runners delivering your favourite food at your doorstep in the minimum possible time, your convenience is our top priority. Aligning our priorities with the national interest of digitization, we offer you wide and varied payment options to choose from when ordering from us, “speaks Ajith Kumar Pillai, Director, Foodazon Technologies Private Limited.
The Simplest Way of ordering Food to begin with, the team at Foodazon had faced a few hiccups in terms of raising capital and creating brand awareness in the market. Nevertheless, to mitigate this, the company ventured into the social media space, ran advertisements and shared leaflets. They then ran pilot assignments in a few areas at Kochi, Kerala with limited set of restaurants and delivery fleet. Customer centricity has always been the core focus of Foodazon and as a result its customer base has grown tremendously and now 8 months down the lane, Foodazon has become one of the fastest and most popular food delivery apps in Kochi.

Foodazon has its own fleet of delivery executives who are equipped with delivery apps that are integrated into their smartphones which helps them to get to their destinations faster. Foodazon App also provides the users options to track their delivery status.

He further adds, “Once an order has been delivered, a feedback call is made to the customer enquiring on the quality of the food, its packing and the general attire and behaviour of the delivery boys. Stringent measures are taken by us to provide a hassle-free ordering experience to our customers”.
