Extent of imagination can never be assessed in case of a human being. Especially in the creative field, one can never assume what kind of ideas can be developed. Podcast is one of the counterparts of the media and entertainment industry with the authenticity of its own. It establishes the power of voice, the right to be voiced and enlightening to the sense of hearing in an individual. “After I thought to start working on audio format, we created the platform in June 2016 when we launched our beta version. Then we started making people understand that this is a product which can help create a market place of its own. It will serve as a holistic audio entertainment platform where people can listen to items of their choice and upload their voiced opinions and performances through podcasts on the same platform. We have created an on-demand podcast platform that will be capable of delivering audio content at the speed of sound”, says Dushyant Bhati, Founder & CEO, PodPitara.
"What UBER has done to Transportation, AIRBNB has done to Hospitality, PODPITARA is doing to Audio/Radio"

Taking Ideas to newer limits
Dushyant has gone to lengths to make the PodPitara accessible and available for each and every citizen of the country. The passion and dedication shown by him in terms of new podcast ideas have been mesmerising. The platform has bridged the gaps between all the age groups and has tried to provide audio content that can be valuable for everyone belonging to any age group. He states, “We researched about government schemes which informed as to how one can get subsidy and aid from the central government. We recorded all 300 government schemes in audio format and put it on the PodPitara platform which I thought was a unique idea to promote it. To our surprise, we got around 30000+ downloads on playstore after launching the application and 50000+ tapes from users of PodPitara. When we went for the feedback to the village people aged 70+ years appreciated it and said that it was a good attempt and within two clicks anyone can learn about any scheme.

The Vision & Mission
The founder is of the vision that if a platform has a volume of subscription for good listeners, podcasters will definitely be interested to showcase their talents on it. This is the reason why PodPitara got associated with media houses over the year of
2017 in order to increase the publicity and traffic of the platform. In June, 2017, PodPitara signed its first MoU with the India Today group (India’s largest media house) and went on further to collaborate with companies like YourStory Media and Inc42 among several others. The idea is to publish all kinds of audio related content generated in these media houses through the PodPitara platform.

Developing community radios is the other vertical of the industry PodPitara is dedicated towards. It has already created two in Bhopal and one in Sagar which have gained positive feedback. Apart from this, the company has collaborated with colleges and universities for building their campus radio platforms. In line with this, there are more that the company wants to explore. Expressing the future ahead of the company, Dushyant concludes, “We have plans that are to be executed shortly. We participated in a competition in September’18 organised by Start-up Oasis& IIM Ahmedabad on the promising Social Impact Startup of the country. We were the winners of this INVENT Program and will get mentorship and funds from it. New changes are being looked into for the platform. We want to reach out 100 colleges and more media houses and collaborate regarding podcasting. What UBER has done to Transportation, AIRBNB has done to Hospitality, PODPITARA is doing to Audio/Radio. It is aimed to inform, empower and entertain the world through Audio.”
