100X.VC, a venture capital fund that invests in early-stage startups, announced the names of 10 startups selected out of a pool of 4785 pitches for its Class 05.
The 10 startups include Nooble, Bebe Burp, ZuPay, WayFr, QwikSkills, SpoofSense, Paperplane, Strive, HumblX and FilterPixel.
Commenting on this development, Ninad Karpe, Partner at 100X.VC, said, “We have now invested in 60 startups in the country with iSAFE notes. We get to review so many different applications, each idea is unique, and everyone has potential. It is always a hard choice to narrow it down to a limited few. We have now investors, VCs eagerly waiting to hear about our carefully curated list of startups.”
He further added that their focus remains to mentor, advice and guide the founders with masterclasses, and enable them to convert their ideas into bigger businesses.
The firm has invested in each of the selected startups through ISAFE notes. In 2019, iSAFE (India Simple Agreement For Equity) notes were first introduced by 100X.VC in India. These notes have currently become a popular early-stage investment instrument for founders and investors.
Founded by Sanjay Mehta in December 2019 (Class 01), 100X.VC has crossed 60 investments since its launch. 100X.VC deals with capital and education. It functions on a cohort-based investment model. The competition is about getting into the 100X. 100X.VC can be imagined as an ivy school where most talented entrepreneurs want to apply to get their winning edge. Currently, Indian startups are looking for smart money.
In the industry, 100X portfolio companies have created more than 470 jobs.
Before the VC Pitch Day, the portfolio companies had an opportunity to go through meticulous mentoring by the team at 100X.VC. They had attended 100+ hours of Masterclass sessions from mentors, successful founders, industry experts, veterans and venture capitalists.
