Alimento Agro Foods Pvt Ltd, the startup behind MOM Meal of the Moment and Gimi Gimi, has secured Rs 52 crore (around $5.8 million) in a Series A funding round led by IvyCap Ventures. The fresh capital will help the packaged food company expand its manufacturing capabilities, strengthen its distribution network across India, and invest in developing new products under both brands.
Founded by Prateek and Mugdha Bhagchandka, Alimento operates in two rapidly growing food categories. MOM Meal of the Moment focuses on instant meals and snacks, catering to urban consumers seeking quick and tasty options. Meanwhile, Gimi Gimi targets the growing interest in global flavors, offering Korean-style noodles designed for Indian taste preferences.

The founders noted that both brands are experiencing steady demand, and the funding comes at a pivotal stage to scale operations beyond current markets. Expansion of production and broader retail distribution are expected to be the company’s top priorities in the next phase.
With this Series A, Alimento Agro Foods aims to build a strong portfolio of mass-market convenience and instant food brands, positioning itself to compete with both established FMCG players and newer direct-to-consumer startups.
