Arivihan, an edtech platform using AI, has raised $4.17 million in a pre-Series A funding led by Prosus and Accel, with support also from GSF Investors, as per media reports.

Established by Ritesh Singh Chandel, Sonu Kumar, and Rushabh Kothari in 2021, Arivihan provides customized coaching to Class 12 students, especially Hindi-medium and rural students, with AI-based video classes, doubt removal, and personalized study plans in sync with the regional board exams.

The fresh capital will be used to extend the operations to Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Chhattisgarh and upgrade its AI research capabilities, add multilingual support, and enhance student-centric features. It plans to further scale marketing and distribution to deepen its presence in Bharat.

As opposed to generic world a-generative AI technology, Arivihan has developed its own open-source AI model, trained on millions of state-board-specific data points, and programmed to respond in Hindi and Hinglish, thereby being more inclusive for underserved learners.

In FY25, Arivihan generated revenue of  Rs 3.25 crore in paid subscriptions of 15,000 subscribers and cleared more than 7 lakh student queries every month with 97% accuracy. The startup plans to grow to 80,000–100,000 subscribers by the end of the current year.

The round comes after Arivihan's previous $750,000 seed funding under Accel's Atoms programme. Investors point to Arivihan as one of the leading examples of scalable, outcome-oriented, vernacular AI for India's next billion learners.
