Atypical Advantage receives Rs 1.6 crore in seed funding to enhance its hiring platform for people with disabilities
Atypical Advantage, a hiring platform designed to assist individuals with disabilities, has successfully raised Rs 1.6 crore from a combination of existing and new investors, including notable figures such as Ravi Venkatesan, former Chairman of Microsoft India, and Nachiket Shelgikar, Co-founder of Micro Housing Finance Corporation Limited. The primary purpose of this funding infusion is to reinforce the company’s team and enhance its technological capabilities.
Founded in 2020 by Vineet Saraiwala, an alumnus of IIM Bangalore, Atypical Advantage previously secured Rs.1 crore from angel investors, including prominent names like Mohan P Alexander, Rohan Bhansali, Sadashiv Nayak, Lokesh Bharwani, Sashi Rajamani, and Revati Sharma Singh, among others.
Atypical Advantage operates as a comprehensive platform, offering support throughout the hiring process, from sourcing candidates and providing skill development to offering post-placement assistance. Its core mission is to collaborate with corporations in order to elevate the representation of individuals with disabilities in the workforce. The platform has partnered with several prominent firms, including Brookfield Properties, Vedantu, Burger King, Tokyo Edelweiss, Accenture, Annarock, Arvind Mills, RMZ Galleria, Tata Steel, Thoughtworks, Zensar, and The Man Company.
