Bengaluru-based sustainable packaging innovator Bambrew has raised Rs 90 crore (approximately $10.3 million) in a funding round led by Ashok Goel, former MD of Essel Propack, and Japanese venture capital firm Enrission India Capital. This follows the company’s previous $11.8 million raise from Blume Ventures and others.

Founded in 2019 by Vaibhav Anant, Bambrew is known for developing home-compostable, high-performance alternatives to single-use plastics using bamboo fiber, agro-waste, seaweed, recycled paper, and other natural materials. The latest funding will fuel innovation, scale up manufacturing, and support global expansion across the Middle East and North America.

Over the past year, Bambrew has diversified its portfolio to include sustainable packaging for garments, e-commerce, FMCG, personal care, and food sectors serving over 500 brands with alternatives like plastic-free laminates and recyclable films. The company is now preparing to launch a D2C line of eco-friendly packaging essentials aimed at environmentally conscious consumers.

With a revenue target of Rs 120 crore and profitability within the next year, Bambrew also plans to tap into fast-growing sectors like quick commerce and personal care with scalable, recyclable solutions.
