Blinq Mobility Raises Rs 4.3 Crore to Build Battery-Swappable Urban EVs
- Raises Rs 4.3 crore in pre-seed funding to accelerate vehicle engineering, product development, and early-stage validation of its electric mobility solutions.
- Focus on battery-swappable electric cars for cities, designed from the ground up for high utilization, minimal downtime, and efficient operations in dense urban environments.
- Pilots planned with fleets and ride-hailing platforms, including deployments in campuses and controlled locations to test performance, reliability, and real-world scalability.
Blinq Mobility, an early-stage electric vehicle startup, has raised Rs 4.3 crore in a pre-seed funding round to accelerate the development of battery-swappable electric cars built for urban use. The fresh capital will be used to strengthen product engineering, validate technology, and prepare for early deployments.
Based in Gurugram, Blinq Mobility was founded by IIT Delhi alumni and focuses on creating purpose-built EVs for high-usage city environments. Instead of adapting existing car designs, the startup is building vehicles from scratch with reliability, uptime, and operational efficiency at the core.
The company’s approach separates the battery from the vehicle. Batteries act as portable energy units that can be swapped in minutes, while the vehicle continues operating without waiting to charge. This model aims to reduce downtime and improve vehicle availability, especially for fleet-driven use cases.
Nikesh Bisht, Co-Founder and CEO of Blinq Mobility, said urban electric mobility needs vehicles designed specifically for constant use in dense cities. He added that the funding will help the team refine engineering, test systems in real-world conditions, and move closer to scalable deployment.
The funds will be used to advance modular vehicle design, develop and validate autonomous battery-swapping systems, and support certification and homologation requirements. Blinq Mobility also plans to run pilot programs in campuses and controlled locations before expanding to fleet operators and ride-hailing partners.

Founded in 2024, the startup targets fleet operators, shared mobility services, and ride-hailing companies looking for cost-efficient and high-uptime EV solutions. As India’s EV market grows, Blinq Mobility aims to address key challenges such as charging delays and infrastructure gaps.
This funding marks an early but important step for Blinq Mobility as it works to build practical electric mobility solutions for India’s urban future.
