Bus Services Startup Yolo Raises Fresh Fund of USD 600,000

Team StartupcityA premium intercity bus services start-up, YOLO, secured seed investment of USD 600,000 (INR 4.3 Cr approx) from a clutch of angel investors and a VC firm. The company is planning to use the finance received in marketing, territory expansion and technology.

Conceptualized in 2019 by Shailesh Gupta and Mukul Shah, YOLO is recognized as an intercity full-stack bus service company. It has covered more than 800,000 km and has provided service to over 50,000 customers.
It has fleet over 20 plus vehicles till date. The company’s major aim is to expand its footprint across the southern part of the country and scale across Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Kerala, and other cities.

YOLO Offers personalised bus captains, welcome kits to all passengers, high-speed WiFi, washrooms, Food & Beverages, USB charging points, movies, and infotainment. As special conveniences, it also offers a special kit for babies/ pregnant women, emergency SOS button inside the bus, and special safety measures for women.

Commenting on the investment, Shailesh Gupta, CEO & Founder, YOLO, said, “This fresh funding will help us work towards our vision. It will enable us to escalate a mobility platform that will help to bring in different forms of mobility solutions hyper-suited to the needs of cities and towns we plan to expand into, over the next few months.”

“We are planning to upgrade the services by integrating operations and technology and are also strategizing to bring on more dynamic routes on board,” Yolo co-founder Danish Chopra added.
