Hyderabad-based Earthful, a direct-to-consumer plant-based nutrition startup announced that it has raised Rs 5 crore in a funding round led by seasoned entrepreneur Srinivasan Namala, the founder of Porus Labs, who exited the company to Bain Capital in a deal valued at over Rs 2,400 crore. The latest infusion marks a significant milestone for the young nutraceutical brand as it prepares for its next phase of growth.

OYO Rooms founder Ritesh Agarwal will also participate in the round with an investment of Rs 75 lakh, following his earlier commitment made during Earthful’s appearance on Shark Tank India Season 4. With this round, the company has raised over $1 million, or approximately Rs 8 crore, in funding to date, including the current investment.

Founded in 2020 by IIT Kharagpur alumnae and sisters Veda Gogineni and Sai Sudha G, Earthful focuses on clean-label, plant-based nutrition products aimed at addressing everyday micronutrient deficiencies. Over the past few years, the startup has steadily built a loyal customer base by positioning itself at the intersection of science-backed formulations and natural, additive-free ingredients.

The fresh capital will be primarily deployed towards research and development to expand Earthful’s product portfolio, the founders said. The company is also planning to strengthen its brand presence across India through focused marketing initiatives and strategic collaborations. In addition, Earthful intends to invest in building a strong leadership team across marketing and operations to support scale-up plans and improve execution as demand grows.

Commenting on the fundraise, co-founder Veda Gogineni said the investment will enable the company to accelerate its expansion across the country while staying true to its mission of making clean and effective nutrition accessible to Indian consumers. She added that the next phase of growth will be driven by innovation, deeper consumer engagement, and operational strengthening.

Lead investor Srinivasan Namala said the Indian nutraceutical market is poised for significant expansion over the next five to seven years, fuelled by a growing population of health-conscious consumers and increasing awareness around preventive healthcare. He expressed confidence in Earthful’s differentiated approach and long-term potential in the rapidly evolving wellness space.

Earthful currently reports an annual recurring revenue of around Rs 15 crore and serves a customer base of approximately one lakh users, with a repeat purchase ratio of 40-50 percent. Riding on the visibility gained from Shark Tank India and its ongoing branding initiatives, the startup is targeting a fivefold growth over the next 12 to 18 months. The company believes this momentum, combined with strong investor backing and a clear focus on product and brand building, positions it well to emerge as a leading player in India’s plant-based nutrition segment.
