Hala Mobility Raises Rs 30 Crore to Expand EV Network

- Hala Mobility raises Rs 30 crore via Hala+ FOCO model
- Plans to deploy 6,000 electric vehicles across multiple cities
- Focus on empowering women led SHGs and micro-entrepreneurs
Hala Mobility has successfully raised Rs 30 crore in six months through its flagship Hala+ FOCO (Franchise Owned, Company Operated) model. The funds will help the company deploy 6,000 electric vehicles (EVs) across various cities, advancing clean transportation and inclusive economic growth.
Hala+ transforms Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and micro-entrepreneurs into profitable EV operators by providing vehicles, charging and battery swap infrastructure, financing, insurance, training, and real-time data all on one platform. Each SHG cluster acts as a community enterprise, managing the EV fleet, riders, and income streams. This model strongly supports women led businesses and local economies.
Dr. Srikanth Reddy Kalakonda, Founder and CEO of Hala Mobility, emphasized, “Hala+ is more than just electrifying fleets, it’s about electrifying livelihoods. We create a transparent, profitable system that benefits investors, riders, and communities, while driving sustainability”.
The FOCO model enables high-net-worth individuals and family offices to invest directly in EV assets managed by Hala’s expert team. With an impressive 25.1% Internal Rate of Return (IRR), every Rs 1 crore invested generates jobs for over 200 riders and helps reduce nearly 400 tons of CO₂ annually. This also feeds into Hala’s circular economy efforts, including battery recycling and refurbishment.

Alongside Hala+, Hala Mobility runs Hala One, a franchise owned, franchise operated model offering partners business support and technology tools for a monthly fee. Hala+ is expanding to cities like Kochi, Chennai, Mumbai, and Pune, aiming to add 5,000 more EVs soon.
By integrating vehicles, batteries, charging, financing, and insurance, Hala Mobility’s holistic HELIX framework covers the entire EV ecosystem, powering a sustainable future.
