- Funds to accelerate AI-native data infrastructure platform and global expansion
- Founded by ex-Dell leaders to streamline enterprise data management
AI-driven enterprise data infrastructure startup MeshDefend has raised $2.3 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Kalaari Capital. Kettleborough VC and several industry leaders also participated. This marks the company’s first external funding.
The Bengaluru-based firm will use the investment to grow its AI-native operating system for enterprise data infrastructure. The fresh funds will support product development, go-to-market strategies, and scaling of its platform across large enterprise environments. MeshDefend will also expand its footprint in the U.S. and Europe while building vendor partnerships, staying agnostic across platforms.
Founded in 2025 by former Dell executives Tejas Pandit and Ravi Chitloor, MeshDefend offers Agent Mesh™, an AI-powered operating system designed to manage enterprise backup, storage, hybrid, and multi-cloud systems. The platform allows IT teams to automate Day-2 operations, like data protection and issue resolution, across varied infrastructure setups.
