Nuvie, Bengaluru-based food and beverage startup changing the definition of indulgence for health-mindful consumers, has raised $450,000 (approximately  Rs 3.8 crore) in its first pre-seed funding.

PedalStart led the round and attracted investment from a host of well-known investors, including Mukesh Bansal (founder of Myntra, Cult.fit, and Nurix), Ayyappan R (founder and CEO of FirstClub and former CEO of Cleartrip), Chanakya Gupta (co-founder of Tuco Kids and ex-SVP at Flipkart), and Arun Sharma (co-founder and CPO at Qlub UAE).

Started in May 2024 by Hem Narayan and Prashant Paliwal, Nuvie is building a "Better-for-You" product portfolio that combines health and taste. Its initial products are lactose-free ready-to-consume protein shakes, and it plans to introduce five more variants of these shakes. The company is also about to launch a protein-rich chocolate bar, a lower-sugar variant of traditional sweets, and what it claims is India's first protein cold coffee, called "Proffee."

Since it arrived, Nuvie has already hit  Rs 10 lakh in monthly revenues and is looking to achieve a  Rs 10 crore annualized revenue run rate (ARR) by 2025 end. The footprint of the brand is spread over 100 premium retail stores in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai, as well as 200+ gyms nationwide. Nuvie also is using quick-commerce platforms like Blinkit, Instamart, and BigBasket to reach more consumers.

The proceeds raised will be utilized to drive new product development, increase brand-building marketing efforts, and maximize content-driven consumer engagement to intensify its market penetration.

At Nuvie, we are committed to crapre-seed fting innovative products that blend wellness with indulgence, tailored for today’s lifestyle-focused consumers. This capital will enable us to scale up product innovation and accelerate our market expansion as we prepare for the next stage of growth.”
