Pune-based deep tech startup Quintrans has raised $750,000 in a pre-seed funding round led by Capital-A, with participation from Sumeet Kabra of RR Global, SanchiConnect, AIC-Pinnacle, IIMA Ventures, and other investors. The funds will be used to set up an advanced in-house manufacturing and testing facility, accelerate R&D in electromagnetic actuation, and strengthen its core engineering and operations team ahead of commercial rollout.

Founded in 2021 by Pranay Luniya, Kartik Kulkarni, Aniruddha Atigre, and Prasanna Kadambi, Quintrans focuses on developing direct-drive electromagnetic linear motion systems. These systems offer frictionless, ultra-precise, and high-speed motion, designed for robotics, warehouse automation, and manufacturing applications. By engineering both the hardware and control electronics in-house, Quintrans delivers integrated, cost-efficient solutions tailored to client needs.

The startup’s technology comes at a time when India’s actuator market is poised for growth, with an estimated 6.8 million units sold in FY 2022 and projected to reach 10-11 million by FY 2026, driven by demand from automotive, industrial automation, HVAC, and marine sectors.
