GetWork, an end-to-end SaaS platform based in Gurugram, announced that Samarthya Investment Advisers, NVS Wealth Managers, and Artha Venture Fund have contributed Rs 7 crore to a Pre-series A round. Famous founders and angel investors like Pravin Agarwala (cofounder of Betterplace), Shuchi Kothari (director of Health & Glow and DSP Group Family Office), and Saurabh Garg also participated in the round. GetWork Club, a one-stop shop where students can get services including resume writing, upskilling training, mentorship programmes, and products, was recently introduced.

"Every year, more than 42,000 colleges and training programmes contribute 1.2 crore new graduates to the labour force. Yet, there isn't a single platform that offers particular resources, advice, and employment prospects to recent tier 2 and tier 3 college graduates. GetWork Club and our placement platform are dedicated to addressing this significant issue. Rahul Veerwal, the founder of GetWork, said, "This fundraising round brought on board an attractive mix of investors that will help us scale the platform across India over the next 18 months. The business has a Rs 2 crore seed round backed by Artha Venture Fund in March 2021.

"Several different sectors, including manufacturing, information technology, financial services, pharmaceuticals, etc., are actively employing recent graduates to fill open positions. They can easily find their next employee among the tens of thousands of students who enter the workforce each year thanks to GetWork. The company has made progress, but it is only beginning to tap into what will eventually grow to be India's largest reservoir for recent grads "said Artha Venture Fund managing partner Anirudh Damani.

There are already 6,500 firms using the GetWork platform to hire from among the 13 lakh students from the more than 1,000 colleges in India. Around 3,300 freshers were hired in the past 90 days by organisations like ICICI Bank, Bank of Baroda, Reliance Retail, Justdial, and startups like LeverageEdu, Lawyered, and Nutrifresh. The size of the Indian online employment market exceeds Rs. 50,000 crores. Since 2020, Indian HR technology platforms have garnered more than Rs 5,000 crores in financing.
