Space-tech startup Ulook has raised Rs 19 crore (around $2.3 million) in a funding round co-led by GrowX Ventures and InfoEdge Ventures. The company specializes in developing autonomous satellite swarms designed for advanced radio-frequency (RF) sensing and spectrum awareness.

Ulook’s technology enables precise detection, tracking, and analysis of Earth-based activity, particularly useful in contested zones where traditional radar or optical tools fall short. These capabilities open new applications for defense, telecommunications, spectrum management, and infrastructure monitoring.

With the fresh capital, Ulook plans to accelerate the development of its satellites and sensors, enhance its RF-sensing capabilities, and ramp up go-to-market efforts for its data intelligence services.

The company faces competition from other Indian and global space-tech startups like Pixxel, Satsure, Astrome, and Skyroot Aerospace. However, Ulook’s focus on RF-based intelligence and autonomous satellite swarms gives it a distinct edge in spectrum surveillance and situational awareness.

Ulook aims to deploy its first satellite swarm in the next 12 to 18 months. Its target customers include defense agencies, telecom firms, and spectrum regulators that require real-time insights from high-risk or hard-to-reach locations.

As demand for alternative sensing technologies grows, Ulook is positioning itself as a key player in the next wave of satellite-powered intelligence solutions.
