With the diverse climatic conditions and the rich fertile land, the country has the huge potential to become one of the leading producers of various agriculture products. Though the country has immense raw materials but the sector lags behind when it comes to adoption of advance scientific equipments and latest farming methods for better production. Observing the deteriorating scenario of the agriculture sector and its effect, KrishiHub, a Bangalore based agri solution firm came up with the idea to solve one of the most complex problems prevailing in the country by building an ecosystem to disrupt the agriculture sector by blending innovation with Data Science, Technology and Design with a view to improve the socio-economic status of the farmers.

changes that would impact majority of Indians, KrishiHub came into being with a vision to increase the farming productivity and profitability. Elaborating on this, Bhoopendra speaks, “Through our platform we try to abandon the traditional methods of trading to improve the socio-economic status of the poor farmers. We have developed an online marketplace whereby the framers can list their products and the businesses can directly purchase products through our Android app without intervention of middlemen.” Targeting the businesses like restaurants, hotels, kirana stores, online marketplaces, local vegetable vendors and hyperlocal retailers, the company endeavours to be a technology platform that is responsible for managing end-to-end supply chain. Through the app, the company enables its customers to place orders, make online payment, track & create order subscriptions. Additionally, the company adds value in terms of cleaning, grading, sorting and packaging by ensuring quality products. What's more is with its subscription based model KrishiHub assures its customers on the products they placed to get delivered at their door steps at chosen frequency and delivery slot. “We try to offer 80+ varieties of fruits and vegetables that our
customer orders on daily basis from our app. From our technology oriented platform we try to manage the entire supply chain right from receiving & tracking orders to digital payment solution for faster and secure transaction for our clients,” says Bhoopendra.

Since its launch of operations in January 2017, with 5 businesses at the initial stage, the company presently serves 30+ businesses in National Capital Region (NCR) along with many projects in the pipeline. Currently, the operations are being carried out from the sales and distribution centre located in Ghaziabad.

Aims to be a Game-Changer in Agri-Community Space

KrishiHub with a team of 15 people in technology and operation has been able to make its huge impact within a short span of time. Being a bootstrapped company with a flexible work culture and open learning environment, the company has featured itself in Dainik Jagran, one of the world’s most read newspaper where their efforts to build an ecosystem for Indian farmers has been gloriously portrayed. “Our major target is to build the entire agricultural ecosystem with inclusion of information and decision support systems for farmers on all agricultural needs. In the coming years, we are going to put more efforts on R&D that will include seed production, organic and greenhouse farming and many others. Soon we are planning to venture into consumer space and collaborate with state governments for better outreach and export Indian agri products to the rest of the world,” concludes Bhoopendra enthusiastically.
