Gaming focused venture fund Lumikai has invested $1.5 million along with Play Ventures in Bangalore based gaming start up All-Star Games. Lumikai’s deep sector experience and strategic support added with the support of Harri (Manninen) and Henric (Suuronen) would position All-Star Games at the top of the game for the next part of their journey said, Ninad Bhagwat, CEO & Co-Founder, All-Star Games.

In today’s digitally savvy world, smartphone penetration is only increasing and every Smartphone has at least one gaming app installed on it. Ninad and Keshav Sunder, the founders of the start-up, grew up playing mobile games and their passion for games motivated them to start a gaming studio.

Justin Keeling, General Partner, Lumikai says that their investment in All-Star represents the conflux of two massive white spaces - deeper midcore gaming for India’s 400 million gamers and the potential to build a next-generation, world-class cricket gaming franchise with true mass appeal. He also added that Ninad and Keshav have proven themselves to be exactly the founders they have been looking for to build titles in this space that will be played and loved by millions of sports fans.

Founded in 2016, All –Star Games specialises in live multiplayer sports games, with initial focus on cricket. The studio’s first title, Cricket star, was developed as a hyper casual game by the founders and drew over 60 percent D1 retention.

All-Star Games’ second title, RCB Cricket, was download by over one million players in just five days and topped the play store charts, and later to over three million. The studio’s ambitious next title, All Star Cricket, is currently in MVP and is being built as the definitive mobile experience for the world’s 2.5 billion cricket fans.

All-Star Games Co-founder and CTO Keshav has expressed that the partnership with Lumikai and Play Ventures adds to their insights, hands-on feedback, and access to the world’s best talent and strategic partners would take the All-Star franchise to the next level.
