Codeyoung, a Bengaluru-based online learning platform for children, has raised $5 million in a Series A funding round co-led by 12 Flags Group and Enzia Ventures. The round also facilitated an exit for the company’s early investors. Prior to this, Codeyoung had secured $1.86 million in seed funding from Guild Capital and others.
Founded in 2020 by Shailendra Dhakad and Rupika Taneja, Codeyoung offers live 1:1 online classes for children aged 5 to 17, covering Coding, Math, English, Science, AP courses, and SAT preparation. With the latest infusion of capital, the company plans to expand its footprint in international markets, build advanced AI-driven personalization tools, and introduce new learning categories tailored to global learner needs.
Codeyoung positions itself as more than an academic platform, aiming to nurture confident, creative thinkers who apply learning to real-world situations. Its model focuses on outcomes, self-paced learning, and complete transparency for parents. “Families everywhere want learning that feels personal, dependable, and measurable. This investment allows us to bring that experience to more children across the world”, said Shailendra Dhakad, Co-founder & CEO.
The platform claims to have delivered over 20 lakh hours of learning to 25,000+ students across 15 countries, with completion rates above 80%, renewal rates over 60%, and an NPS exceeding 65. The new funding sets the stage for Codeyoung’s next phase of growth as it strengthens its global presence and enhances personalized learning experiences for students worldwide.
