GenieTalk Secures Seed Funding from Sankeshwar Technologies

Team StartupcityGenieTalk, a deep tech firm that develops conversation AI technology raised $750,000 from Sankeshwar Technologies, the investment arm of Sankeshwar Group. Based in Indore, post the initial round of funding the firm is now valued at $10 Million. GenieTalk intends to utilize the capital raised to develop its SaaS based platform that helps businesses build personalized AI-powered virtual assistants or chatbots.
Founded in 2016 by Santosh Kataria, Ankit Kimtee, and Vivek Jain, GenieTalk develops highly receptive conversational AI technologies that can be embedded within businesses to enable them to be closer to their customers & have the most meaningful conversations. These technologies intend to do away with rule-based, monotonous chat-bots currently used by businesses to interactive & intuitive ‘Human-in-the-room-experiences'. Founded in 2016, the young firm creates customized solutions for enterprises to adopt AI technologies to create seamless business operations & happy customer experiences.

“We are doing what Google and Facebook are doing with billions of dollars and unlimited resources, with minimal resources, remote location, and with few but immensely talented AI brains. AI tech is in the nascent stage, and it will take years to reach our goal. The pandemic has super-accelerated this growth; the demand we envisioned in the next five years is happening now,” said Ankit Kimtee, Co-founder, GenieTalk.

GenieTalk currently runs OGenie, a virtual travel assistant that functions as a travel concierge service. The voice activated chat bot can search domestic & international flights, book, reschedule, cancel and web check-in on behalf of the customer. Avalaable for download on the Play Store and App Store, OGenie membership is being doled out with Airtel Payments Bank, HDFC Times Card, JioSaavn , Freecharge and Phonepe among others.
