Lucira Jewellery, a homegrown fine jewellery startup focusing on lab grown diamonds, has raised $5.5 million in seed funding, the largest such round for any Indian jewellery startup. The investment was led by Blume Ventures, with support from Spring Marketing Capital, SiriusOne Capital Fund, and angel investors from brands like Dot & Key, Livspace, Snitch, and Bewakoof.

Founded by Rupesh and Vandana Jain, Lucira plans to use the fresh capital to grow its offline retail presence and strengthen its digital and design capabilities. The company will launch its first physical store in Mumbai this month, with four flagship outlets expected by FY26.

Rupesh Jain, who previously built and exited Candere (acquired by Kalyan Jewellers), is aiming to redefine jewellery retail in India. “Customers today want more than just investment pieces, they seek design, transparency, and a connection with the brand. We want Lucira to be that trusted name in fine jewellery”, he said.

Lucira offers over 1,000 customizable designs in lab grown diamonds, all certified by IGI, GIA, SGL, or BIS. The products also come with lifetime exchange and buyback options, boosting consumer confidence.

The funding will also be used to expand the in-house design studio, hire key talent, and enhance its tech backbone for a better omnichannel experience.
