Retail Health Startup 'Raaz App' nets $1 million from Fireside Ventures
Fireside Ventures, an early-stage business firm, is leading a $1 million investment round for the healthcare platform Raaz App. Campus Fund, Altaf Saiyed, Vaibhav Domkundwar, the founder of Better Capital, and others also participated in the round.
According to a news release from Raaz App, the money raised will be utilized to improve the platform, broaden its offerings and audience, fund clinical research, create tech-enabled treatment plans, and launch awareness campaigns.
Raaz App is a healthcare app that provides reproductive health services for men. It was co-founded in 2023 by Akash Kumar and Harshit Kukreja. Access to high-quality information and treatment for men's reproductive health concerns is the company's main goal. The platform delivers consulting services and evidence-based treatment regimens.
The Bengaluru-based firm claims to provide individualized, research-based treatment programs for ailments like premature ejaculation and erectile dysfunction. Doctor-led teleconsultations, medications, diagnostics, counseling, and lifestyle advice are all offered by the full-stack platform.
According to Raaz, every patient has a personal health concierge who keeps track of their progress in addition to their doctor. With an emphasis on offering care in regional languages, the platform mostly caters to tier II and tier III cities. Additionally, it is creating a data engine that includes the anonymised case histories of several patients and analyzes which interventions worked best in each instance. It also identifies lifestyle behaviors and looks at the many factors in each situation.
Raaz will collaborate with diagnostic providers to create new treatment regimens and hopes to enroll 50,000 customers by the end of the next year. In the future, it will investigate the fertility industry and venture into new areas.
Harshit Kukreja, Co-Founder & COO, Raaz says, “One night in a Delhi hospital, I treated a young man who had attempted suicide due to marital issues caused by erectile dysfunction. His struggle, after spending his life savings on quacks and fake remedies, left me wondering how many men across Bharat silently grapple with similar challenges. That incident stayed with me, and years later, it inspired Akash and me to spend time in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh trying to understand the problem better. We saw multiple go through this ordeal and it led us to start Raaz.”
Ankur Khaitan, Principal, Fireside Ventures states, “Raaz is tackling one of the most underserved yet crucial aspects of healthcare in India—reproductive health. Their empathetic, evidence-based program and deep understanding of Bharat's unique needs position them as true changemakers in the personalized healthcare space. We’re excited to support their journey as they work towards transforming millions of lives with efficacy and trust."
